Jacob wrestled all night and walked into dawn with a new name and a limp. Both were permanent. Names don't describe who you are — they describe who you're becoming.

Moses said "how" because the people were too alive to carry alone. Jeremiah said "how" because they were gone. Same word. Both true.

We drove the group to the airport, returned the rental car, and got on a train to Jerusalem. Some journeys end when you leave. Some end when you decide to stay.

Two years ago I visited Israel as a tourist. This week I landed ten days after my conversion. Same sign at Ben Gurion. Different person reading it.
